As it turns out I wasn’t a stay-at-home chihuahua mama for too long. I landed a “long-term contract position” soon after my last post, much to my surprise. Of course, it would be just my luck that it would be on an ongoing trial. Thankfully, the hours aren’t ridiculous like other trials, but it still drains the life out of me daily.
It hasn’t been all work and no play. A couple of early storms dumped a lot of snow in the Sierra in time for opening day on November 19th and Thanksgiving weekend. Jay and I headed up to Tahoe the last two weekends of November to get our first rides of the season.
It was a great tune-up for our week at Heavenly in early December which was absolutely perfect!

happy 2011!
I’m very excited about the new year, like Oprah says, it’s another chance to get it right. Not that 2010 was horrible, but it is always nice to start with a clean slate. So much to look forward to this year: my parents’ visit later this month, my 20th high school reunion in June, more snowboarding and so much more!
Jay and I spent New Year’s Eve in our typical fashion: some appetizers and a bottle (or two) of bubbly!

May the new year be filled with all you dream of!
